United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore recently announced the results of the Dine and Stay United competitions in Ocean City. The event encouraged the 28 participating restaurants and 12 participating hotels to donate a portion of proceeds to United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore in support of 80 locally funded programs. The competition began June 1 and ran through September 30, covering most of the OC summer tourism season. As of November 1, over ,000 has reportedly been raised, almost a ,000 increase over last year’s competition.
