2007 (King Troy) - Guest 's girlfriend called the FD and asked if there the hotel provided any services where they can order a couple things and have someone delivery it to their rooms. I offered my help and asked what she was seeking. She needed Airborne, Vitamin C and Garlic capsules. She also mentioned getting more specific things from Trader Joes but I told her about Duane Reade and that I could grab some of the items for her. I realized she was sick and when I brought up the items, I also surprised them with lemon tea bags, hot water and 2 extra Dasani water for her. Turns our Mr. King and his girlfriend both got sick! (I actually checked them in 2 days ago!) They paid me back in cash (.97) and I asked that they sign a special request form. They were very pleased with the service.

Today our breakfast area was full. As usual our General Manager was in the breakfast area greeting our guest. Suddenly she saw a little boy crying she couldn’t help seeing the boy cry, so she ran into her office to get him one of our little give away present from the hotel. She picked a small teddy bear since the boy was around four years old. She also noticed that there were about six kids in the breakfast area as well and she thought if we could make one happy we could make all of them happy, she went ahead and grabbed about nine teddy bears and directed herself to the breakfast area. Of course the little boy that was crying got his teddy bear first. Getting the teddy bear was like the best thing that ever happened to him, he stopped crying and his smile was priceless. The parents were able to eat without any issues since the boy was calm by then. The other kids in the breakfast area were very happy with the little gift given to them and parents were very thankful for our gesture.  What a wonderful way to start the day making a kid smile!
