Hats off to the Holiday Inn Express Times Square South who have accomplished 128 enrollments in just 8 days! Their goal is to become #1. Can you say WOW?! The following is from Erick Lorenzana, General Manager, on how they achieved this success:
"A few things we are doing that have helped us drive enrollments are:
- Many guests ask for a late check out, if they are not IHG members we inform them that due to our high occupancy we can only offer late check out to our IHG Reward Club members. We then inform them that we can easily enroll them immediately and grant them a late check out.
- We also target guests who book via OTA’s. We inform them that if you become a member and book directly through our website, you are eligible to receive room discounts as a member. This not only helps us enroll more individuals but it also help us bring more dollars to the bottom line (don’t have to pay OTA’s high commission if they book directly through us).
- Our front office associates have been really motivated to receive bonus points themselves to redeem for free night stays or other gifts they can choose from. For each enrollment, they receive 500 points.
