A milestone was hit last week as we welcomed Tara Sheikh as the new GM of the aloft Long Island City. The 185 room hotel is under construction targeting an opening date later this year. Tara comes to her position with prior experience within the Starwood family of brands. In her first week, Tara spent time with Jean Philippe, GM of the aloft New York Brooklyn as part of her onboarding process.
