I would like to call your attention to the announcement of our newest addition into my region, Mr. Ivan Bonilla, (ivan.bonilla@the-ascott.com) who has immersed himself into the General Manager’s role as of Monday July 26, 2021 of the Citadines Connect 5th Avenue (CCFA). Ivan’s elevation into the leadership role at CCFA comes on the heels of having accounting oversight of the Element Times Square (ETS) and CCFA for RHG and Ascott. Mr. Bonilla has worked for RHG since April 2018, where initially he was the Controller of the Made Hotel and was soon transitioned to Controller and Field Accounting Trainer for RHG. Prior to RHG, Ivan worked for Highgate Hotels where he was the Senior Staff Accountant/Accounting Manger overseeing the Gansevoort Hotel Group for Highgate for three (3) years. Ivan’s willingness to take on greater responsibility in operations during both the takeover of ETS and CCFA while still maintaining oversight of accounting and the unique ‘month end closing’ of both assets brought visibility and acknowledgement from RHG and ownership. He transitions to CCFA with a sound knowledge of the asset, working closely with our former General Manager and acclimating himself to the team and the hotel.
Ivan, you are joining a talented team at the property which is only rivaled by the talent and credentials of our Corporate team and fellow General Managers in my region. I speak for this entire team in welcoming you, I am excited to appoint talent who will provide passion, commitment, intensity, loyalty to our company and the forward-thinking ability you possess.
